Memphis

Since 2004, the 34 Ways Foundation has utilized its relationships with the University of Memphis, Memphis City Schools, local businesses and other organizations to provide sports camps, mentorship programs, and special events for youth and community members.

34 Ways has hosted its annual youth sports and wellness camp in Memphis since 2005, impacting over 5,000 student athletes. The camp allows youth to train with professional athletes, coaches, and team doctors, to gain firsthand knowledge of the professional athletic experience. The students also meet with Clearinghouse representatives, where they learn about scholarship programs and other educational opportunities.

In 2010, the Foundation participated in the 24th Annual Africa-In-April Festival. This unique opportunity allowed 34 Ways to involve global dignitaries in community-related activities in the Memphis region.

The HAITI Project

HAITI Project, “Skills to Build a new HAITI”- is distinctive as 34 Ways Foundation has teamed with United Athlete Group Foundation of Memphis and Africa in April Foundation of Memphis, to teach the people of Haiti how to begin the process of rebuilding their lives, homes, market places, and communities. 34 Ways Foundation will interview volunteers to assist with this project that will teach knowledge, skills, and abilities to the Haitian men and women as we begin the recovery process. We will continue to raise the funding needed to complete one project at a time.
